Thrilled with our twin flue log burner, Jo was exceptional he was very attentive and gave lots of advice, he turned up the day and time he said he would and worked like a trooper getting it done in a day, he stayed then showing us how it worked and we have all the heta certificates… Jo is coming back to build me a surround and supply a beam, local lad and I’d 100% recommend him.Posted on Google![]()

Joe at Elite Log Burners recently installed two stoves for me—one wood burner and one multifuel stove—and I couldn’t be happier with the work. From start to finish, Joel was brilliant. He’s a genuinely nice guy, listened carefully to exactly what I wanted and completed both installations to an excellent standard. He was professional, incredibly neat and tidy, and clearly takes real pride in his work. An absolutely top guy and a top-quality job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Joe and Elite Log Burners to anyone.Posted on Google![]()

Joe did a fantastic job with our fireplace, ripping out the old gas stove and replacing it with a multi fuel stove. Absolutely delighted with the outcome and he made sure it was done to a very high standard, whilst also keeping our living room really clean and tidy. Much appreciated pal! 👍🏼Posted on Google![]()

I've attempted to build a stove/installation on the website but it doesn't show any photographs of the hearthstones when choosing the options or of the chambers so you don't know what you're going to get? The actual stove pictures and information are on a different part in the website so had to go out of the selection part and try and remember what was available within the package deal to then go back, to then see / or not !, no photos anywhere of the hearths and chambers so I wasn't able to pick any options.Posted on Google![]()

OUR INSTALLATIONS
Bespoke Fireplaces
Every chimney breast is a different size and most of them aren’t square. A bespoke fireplace is measured, cut and built to the opening you’ve actually got — chamber, hearth and beam in proportion to each other and to the room they sit in.
Joe spent 15 years as a joiner before he became a HETAS installer, so the beam gets cut on site rather than ordered to the nearest standard size. Tiling and plastering are part of the same job, which is why the finished edges line up.

Timeless freestanding stoves
The stove that’s outlasted every trend going
A cast iron stove on a stone hearth has looked right for two hundred years and will carry on looking right long after the current fashion has turned over. It’s the most straightforward installation we do, and in an older house it’s usually the one that suits the room.
Every stove we fit is Defra approved for smoke control areas, lined with a 904-grade liner, and signed off with a HETAS certificate. Supply and installation come as one price, so there’s nothing to work out about what’s included.

FAQ'S
Most installers fit a stove. A joiner builds a fireplace.
We review it personally against your chimney, your room and what the installation actually needs. If anything changes the figure, you’ll hear why before anything is booked.
From there it’s a visit to confirm the details, a date in the diary, and the certificate in your hand on the day it’s finished.
Prices start at £1500 for a supplied and fitted stove. What moves the figure is the chimney — whether it needs lining, whether there’s a chimney at all, and what the fireplace itself needs doing to it.
The quote builder prices the whole job rather than just the appliance: the liner, the lintel, the hearth, the carbon monoxide alarm, the sweep and the HETAS certificate are all in there. Build yours and you’ll have a figure in about two minutes.
Each installation takes between 12-48 hours. You’ll be given a realistic figure before the job rather than an optimistic one on the morning, and someone needs to be in to let us in and be shown how the stove works at the end.
Knocking out a chimney breast makes a mess — there’s no honest way around that. Containing it is part of the job: dust sheets go down before anything starts, and the room gets swept before we leave. What we don’t do is take rubble away, though that can be arranged at extra cost if you’d rather not deal with it.
Yes. We build an insulated twin wall flue system instead, which runs up through the house or externally up the wall and above the roofline.
It costs more than lining an existing chimney, and the price goes up with the height of the house — more flue, more access equipment. The quote builder asks how many storeys you’ve got for exactly that reason.
Because it gets certified, and not by us marking our own homework. HETAS registration means the installation is notified to your local authority building control, and you’re issued a certificate as proof it meets Building Regulations.
A carbon monoxide alarm is fitted as standard, the flue is tested, and you’re shown how everything works before we leave. Keep the certificate — your insurer will want it, and so will a buyer one day.
